What Actually Causes Psoriasis?
Wondering what actually causes Psoriasis? There are many causes which I an going to attempt to cover here.
Psoriasis is by far exceeding a skin condition; it’s in fact a serious health concern. It is characterised by the blistering scabs and oozing sores that erupt in various parts of the body. We recognise that this type of skin disease to be a chronic non-contagious inflammatory skin disorder.
How do we differentiate psoriasis from other possible skin problems?..
It is best familiar by its usual appearance :
- Silvery-white scales
- Crusty sores
- Bloody lesions
So what actually causes psoriasis, and what causes the skin to suddenly erupt in these nasty pustules? Analysis show that a faulty reaction response is responsible. Once one thing triggers the defence machine to move into overdrive, it creates an overabundance of skin cells; which then harden into the scaly pustules and scabs psoriasis victims must deal with. But what can trigger such a serious response by the skin?
Is Your Stomach to Blame?
We know that leaky gut syndrome (or increased intestinal permeability), can be the starting point for countless health issues, and this includes eruptions and skin issues, such as psoriasis and eczema. We know that the skin is the body’s biggest evacuation part so it is no wonder that it is under attack when toxins travels by way of the bloodstream.
Who would have thought that a severe psoriasis outbreak could start because of something going wrong inside of our stomach and intestines? Yet, new research developed by psoriasis expert Edgard Cayce shows a distinct link between a “leaky gut” and a scaly psoriatic episode. Could that be what actually causes psoriasis?
According to Cayce, the main origin of psoriasis can be found in the intestinal tract, where toxins are leached into the body. This causes the immune system to react by thickening the skin. At the same time, the skin tries to eliminate the toxins through its plies, which can cause scabs and sores to form.
Could Arthritis Be the Culprit?
The intestines aren’t the only link to psoriasis found by researchers – Arthritis seems to also contribute to it. As much as a third of all psoriasis sufferers will eventually develop some form of psoriatic arthritis.
Following a blood test, unlike “normal” forms of arthritis, those with psoriatic arthritis do not exhibit a rheumatoid factor.
This indicates that the arthritic condition comes solely from either the psoriasis itself or the underlying cause of the skin affliction.
Nevertheless, not everyone who has psoriasis will get psoriatic arthritis. Even though these situations are often connected. Psoriasis causes patches of scaly, red, or white skin known as plaques. Psoriatic arthritis usually sets off joint swelling as well as pain that may lead to durable damage. Our immune system is accountable for both.
Could a Virus Be the Cause?
Yes, infections can, in some cases, trigger psoriasis when caused by viruses or bacteria. i.e. Infections in the upper respiratory tract (such as tonsillitis, strep throat and sinusitis), can be responsible for guttate psoriasis in children and young adults.
We can link arthritis to certain viruses and so have other auto-immune disorders. This leads some researchers to think that psoriasis too may start with a virus, which is what kicks the immune system into overdrive.
Other Causes to Consider
Your Genes: If one person in your family suffers from Psoriasis, the odds are good that you will too. Researches have shown that a family history of psoriasis cannot be the cause. Genes are just one form of this complex condition. In only a third of psoriasis cases there is a history of the disease in the family. Statistics also show that if a parent has psoriasis, a child has about ten percent chance of developing it as well.
The Environment: If you are constantly bombarded with toxins in your environment, your skin may fight back, causing Psoriasis outbreaks.
Many researchers now reckon that toxicity in the body may cause, or at least augment the frequency of psoriasis eruptions. A prominent holistic psoriasis researcher, Dr. John Pagano, strongly believes that an fragile liver plays an active role in the development and recurrence of psoriasis.
A Poor Immune System: Without a properly functioning lymphatic system, our skin is unable to repair itself properly, that may incite a skin disease attack.
Researchers are now in agreement that psoriatic disease is an autoimmune disease. Which means that an overactive immune system can in reality provoke psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
But how can our immune system, which is meant to keep us healthy, can actually be responsible for such disorder? The answer is in fact present in the word itself. Autoimmunity happens when the immune system automatically triggers an inflammatory response against our own body.
So What Actually Causes Psoriasis?
While we still don’t know the precise reason for psoriasis to suddenly erupt, researchers agree that psoriasis is the result of a number of factors, which includes the immune system. As a result, when you have psoriasis, your immune system appears to be overactive. This produces inflammation inside the body, which gives rise to the symptoms you see on your skin.
With numerous totally different causes of skin disease that are investigated, it’s vital for every individual patient to find on their own to work out their own triggers to assist develop the most effective treatment arrangements.
A semi durable answer for skin disorder should address the inner causes of skin disease by embracing all skin disease contributing factors. Solely by dominating the organic process, hormonal, psychological and environmental triggers of skin problem, employing a multidimensional and holistic approach to healing you should reverse the “internal skin condition environment” – the unique, secure, organic and efficient method you may ever accomplish lasting Psoriasis freedom.

I never heard of this kind of skin disease before I looked at your post about Psoriasis. The reason I’m searching online for skin diseases is that I get hard lumps forming on the heel of my foot. The lump then turns into a sore that takes a long time to heel. Is this Psoriasis of the skin or some other issue I should be concerned with.
