Dead Sea Salt And Psoriasis
Dead Sea salt and psoriasis is one of the main reasons why sufferers seek this therapy. Since antiquity, the waters of the Dead Sea are known for their therapeutic effects. Flavius wrote 2000 years ago that salt from the Dead Sea had the ability to heal the human body.
This article aims to show you how beneficial is the salt from the Dead Sea for psoriasis and many other health issues such as soothing the nervous system, improving the blood circulation, preventing hair loss, slowing aging, and much more…
What is the Dead Sea and where is it?
The Dead Sea refers to a salt lake stretching from Israel to the West Bank and Jordan East. We also know the Dead Sea as Salt Lake, due to its hyper-saline nature. It is the deepest body of water on the planet.
Being saltier than most of the oceans, the Dead Sea is unsuitable for life. Aquatic animals are unable to survive, the same for plants. The term “Dead Sea” is therefore not illogical with regard to this reality. As for its dimensions, this sea is just about 18km wide for 55km long.
Many cosmetic products are made using salt and minerals from the Dead Sea. We call these minerals potassium, zinc, calcium, magnesium, boron, sodium, and also lithium.
Due to its many beneficial aspects, the Dead Sea is a popular tourist site. The surroundings of the Dead Sea are sunny in summer and cold in winter. Let us now look at the top 11 benefits of using Dead Sea salt, which most people often ignore.

Luckily, while bathing in the Dead Sea, one benefits from the immense rewards associated with the presence of salt, minerals, and especially bromine, an essential element that promotes relaxation and soothes the nervous system.
In addition, zinc and magnesium which have soothing properties are present in large quantities in the Dead Sea. With respect to all this, you may understand why the salt of the Dead Sea has soothing properties.

Good blood circulation is essential if you want to stay healthy. Indeed, when the blood circulation is not functioning properly, this is dangerous and sometimes fatal for the tissues.

Their absorption through the skin helps to improve blood circulation and keep the body healthy.

There is no need to revisit the dangerous nature of cardiovascular disease, let alone the number of deaths associated with it worldwide. These diseases have a link to the thickening of the blood vessels due to the accumulation of fats or to pathologies such as hypertension.
Bathing in the Dead Sea has the effect of relieving hypertension. This is because the presence of potassium, magnesium and calcium helps to control blood pressure, thereby reducing cardiovascular disease. In short, it promotes a long and healthy life.

In many people, hair loss has a relation with stress, dragging on viral diseases, malnutrition, consumption of unsafe water, cosmetic side effects, and of course, to genetic factors.
To prevent hair loss, nothing beats the sand of the Dead Sea. Moreover, it is part of the components of certain cosmetic products that we use to treat ailments affecting hair in general and hair loss in particular. The effectiveness of Dead Sea sand in the treatment of hair loss is related to the presence of calcium, a mineral that helps to have a healthy and shiny hair. Note that calcium is the main constituent of the Dead Sea.
Using the Dead Sea sand prevents hair loss and damage. In addition, it is recommended to wash the hair with sea water to have a smoother and softer hair.

No need to be an expert in swimming to enjoy the benefits of the Dead Sea. Dive in and fill up with minerals. We know that the excess salt favors the flotation, which eliminates the risks of drowning.

Many people suffer from mixed inflammation, a condition characterized by pain, stiffness, swelling, redness and joint dysfunction. This pathology can also affect organs inside the human body and cause pain.
Calcium, potassium, boron and strontium are essential in the prevention of inflammation. Because these minerals are present in the water and sand of the Dead Sea, this greatly helps to reduce joint inflammation.

Wrinkles, no one is really a fan of it. This is why the stars do everything to delay their appearance with large reinforcement of cosmetics generally expensive. The Dead Sea offers the ultimate treatment at zero cost to combat skin aging.
Thanks to the sulfur contained in it, the water of the Dead Sea has the ability to make the skin particularly soft. Lithium, strontium and manganese reinforce this action to give the skin an incomparable luster.
The sand of the Dead Sea, for its part, has the same effect and promotes the obtaining of a beautiful and healthy skin.

Phosphorus and magnesium are vigorously active in the repair of tissues. Present abundantly in the Dead Sea, they make of each bathe, a unique opportunity to fill up with minerals. If you do not bathe, you can benefit from the same advantages thanks to the sand present on the banks of this extraordinary water point.
Bathing as the application of sand on the skin, promotes the absorption of the said minerals through the pores of the skin, thus helping to repair the damaged tissues.
10 – Helps strengthen bones
The bones consist of phosphorus, calcium and sodium. The more these minerals are present in the human body, the stronger the bones are. On the other hand, their deficit can weaken or thin the bones, which would result in many other health problems.
Since the Dead Sea is full of these minerals, bathing or applying sand to the skin is particularly beneficial in order to avoid any deficiency.
11 – Stimulates energy
Phosphorus is used by living cells to produce energy. It also helps to create new cells. Magnesium, for its part, is actively involved in energy metabolism. These two minerals are therefore useful in the production of energy.
The water and sand of the Dead Sea furnish in considerable quantity the said minerals. Do not hesitate to use them to be more energetic and healthy.

Hi John! Thanks for a very useful and helpful article!
So many benefits of Dead Sea Salt! I am awed!
There is something I wish to clarify please. This article is about Dead Sea Salt. But in some of the benefits, you mentioned using Dead Sea Sand. For example, for Number 4, you mentioned – Using the Dead Sea sand prevents hair loss and damage.
I am curious. Is this correct? If it is, how do we use the sand to prevent hair loss and damage? (reason I am asking is I am getting on in age, and my hair is thinning. Would love to prevent hair loss, and grow back the hair) Oh, speaking of the latter, does it help to regrow hair?
Thanks for your comment and questions Thimotheus. That’s right the Dead Sea sand has the benefit of preventing hair loss and in some cases some regrowth has been noticed. But it would be quite difficult for you to go on such a cure unless you can afford a trip to the Dead Sea and to stay there long enough, and importing enough of the sand back home could even be more expensive.
However, there are products that you can purchase online which are specifically created for that purpose. Here is a link where you can find them: Dead Sea Product For Hair Loss!
I hope that you find what you need and if you do, please share your results here.
Thanks very much.

I always wondered why I see people going to the Dead Sea for this treatment and this answered all of my questions. Thank you for sharing this! Do you know of any cosmetic products that contain Dead Sea salt?
Thanks for visiting my website and for your comment Johan. Fortunately, you do not need to go to the Dead Sea to benefit from it, those that go, usually combine that with a holiday. You can find a variety of products that you can purchase and do the treatment yourself at home. Just follow this link to find a number of salts, muds, etc. that you can purchase, which is much cheaper than going all the way to the Dead Sea.
I hope that this answers your question and I look forward to seeing you here often.

Wow John, I did not know that the dead sea could have so many benefits to ones overall health it is really amazing to know. Most interesting to me is the prevention of hair loss and stress relieve. The dead sea can almost cure any ailment. I have added it to my bucket list of places to visit. Thanks for the great info I will definitely be purchasing some products derived from the dead sea now that I know how beneficial it could be to my health. Kind Regards
Thanks for your comment Chani. That’s right the Dead Sea has a lot to offer in regards to general health and beauty products as well. It may not be the most exciting sea on earth but it is a great holiday destination and you come back healthy and beautiful, I don’t believe that you need the latter though.
Yes, as you have noticed, until you can go to the Dead Sea, you can already test some of the quality products available on Amazon, and when you do, please come back here and share your experience.
Best wishes,

Hey John!
Indeed interesting article. It remembered me, that I learned about the healing salts of the dead sea when I was young but totally forgot about it.
Personally, for me, this info is a bit overwhelming, and I would have loved to hear more personal input from your side on that topic.
Have you been there yourself ? is there a personal story of yours that connects with the dead sea?
All the best
Johann
Thanks for your comment Johann. Personally, I have not been to the Dead Sea as you do not need to go there to enjoy the benefits of its salts. You can just buy Dead Sea Salt from Amazon and pour it in your bath in order to have the same results. Unless of course you can afford to fly yourself there and spend US$250 per night at the hotel, not including treatments, meals, etc., while a 20lbs bag of the Dead Sea salt costs only US$40 on Amazon which will last you for at least 30 baths. There are plenty of great reports there too.
The salt is harvested from exactly the same place you would have a swim if you were to go there. Maybe some of my readers have been to the Dead Sea and could share their experience here.
I wish you the very best of health.

I heard about about the health benefits swimming (or at least floating 😀 ) in dead sea can bring, but i’m surprised as of how many it has!
My dad has Psoriasis that comes and goes, i think i should suggest him to take a healing vacation there.
And i really need to get some products with dead sea salt, I heard great things about them.
Thank you so much for the this info!
Thanks very much for visiting my website and for your comments Arlet. Of course a trip to the Dead Sea would be an excellent experience for your dad, but could be very expensive. As you know, you can buy salts from the Dead Sea on Amazon, and that for a fraction of the cost of a trip to the Dead Sea, and hotel bills. The salts are coming from the exact same place your dad would be floating in if he were to go there.
I wish you and your dad the best of health.

Wow, I never knew dead sea salt had so many great benefits! I don’t personally have psoriasis but I know a number of family and friends that suffer from it. I’m going to show this to them! I’m considering using this for myself for all of the other benefits it offers. This could help with my energy levels and stress, thank you for introducing me to this!
Thanks very much for visiting my website and for your comment. I would be most grateful if you would share with your friends and family the link, and they will too.
You are right, Dead Sea salt is a bit of a miracle treatment for many skin issues, as most natural products are for our well being.
I wish you the very best of health and please don’t fail to share with us here your experience with using some of the remedies I am suggesting.
